Dementia isn't contagious. It's entirely possible that Melania Trump, unlike her husband, is perfectly reasonable, capable of understanding reality and guided by the noblest of intentions.
But!
Alas, the world isn't terribly smart. It believes whoever shouts the loudest.
And today, Russian propaganda has the loudest mouth of all.
It's screaming itself hoarse, flooding the media with fairy tales about “Russian kindness” in Oleshky.
The Russians, it must be said, are doing a very skillful job.
Darting about everywhere, deftly inserting herself into the frame and playing the “mother of Oleshky” is none other than Lantratova, who proposed in the State Duma that the day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine be made the main national holiday. Naturally, Skabeyeva's husband and lower-ranking TV scum are scurrying around doing their bit too.
Meanwhile, the simple fact that Oleshky has been plunged into a nightmare and starvation solely by the Russian occupation is being skillfully hushed up.
It was the occupation that turned the town into hell.
The Kremlin's orcs brought hunger, devastation and executions there back in the first year of the war, in 2022.
There are no other “root causes” of the Oleshky tragedy.
Before the Russian occupation, it was an exceedingly happy, well-fed and thriving little town.
It was.
It was, until hordes of scumbags under the tricolor rolled into it on tanks.
As of today, roughly half the population of Oleshky has been tortured, shot, raped and starved to death in the finest traditions of the “Russian world.”
And the Ukrainians who survived are now being forced to become actors in a savage spectacle about “Russian kindness,” starring the man-eater Lantratova.

Occupation Gets a Makeover in Oleshky
Russian propaganda promotes stories of Russian kindness in occupied Oleshky.
The occupation gets left out of the story.
