Prominent Z supporter Ilya Tumanov confirmed the loss of two Su-34 aircraft as a result of a Ukrainian Navy attack on the Marinovka airfield with Neptune cruise missiles.

Tumanov also called for the remaining aircraft to be moved farther from the front line.

Marinovka is more than 450 kilometers from Kramatorsk and Kupiansk, yet even that distance is no longer considered safe for Russian tactical aviation.

Not to mention the strategic bombers forced to base themselves in the Far East and fly to the European part of Russia before carrying out strikes.

In the early stages of the full-scale war, the Russians had an extensive network of airfields in occupied territories and in regions bordering Ukraine.

But Ukrainian strikes continually forced Russian aviation to move farther and farther back.

Naturally, this affects the Russian Armed Forces' ability to respond to Ukrainian actions and puts greater strain on the aircraft's service life.

Russian aircraft face another move farther back

Tumanov confirmed the loss of two Su-34s at Marinovka and called for moving the rest.

Even that distance was not far enough.
