US State Department approves

.1 billion sale of 500 PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine.

⚡️The US State Department has approved the sale of 500 PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems to Ukraine for

.1 billion.

The delivery will be financed by Canada, Germany and Norway, as well as the EU, using funds from the €90 billion allocated in May for 2026–27.

Those are all the significant details.

What we need to know here is the timeline. Volodymyr Zelensky asked for 300 missiles for this winter, but the US definitely won't fulfill that request. Most likely, these are long-term deliveries—the US doesn't have that many missiles available "here and now."

But yes, Zelensky's October 20 conversation with Rubio wasn't for nothing. The State Department is Rubio's department.

Missile sale approved with delivery dates unclear

The US approved the sale of 500 missiles to Ukraine; delivery dates remain unclear.

Approval is on time. The missiles are another question.
