Residents evacuated from Oleshky are being welcomed in Ukraine
The oldest of them is 94, and the youngest is just over a year old, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said.
Pets were the first to arrive in the country, transported in a cargo vehicle. They included dogs, cats, a parrot and even a raccoon.
The humanitarian mission has been completed successfully! This is an extremely important moment. Difficult negotiations, agreements, preparations and an enormous amount of effort are now behind us. But most importantly, the people who waited so long to be rescued are finally safe,
Dmytro Lubinets wrote on social media.
The ombudsman also shared several stories of people who were evacuated in recent days.
