Zelensky: Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families remain without power after overnight strikes
The Russian army struck energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr and Khmelnytskyi regions overnight, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“These are substations, transformers and power lines that supply electricity to our people’s homes. Repair crews are working everywhere. As of now, hundreds of thousands of families remain without electricity,” he wrote.
He said the Russian army had launched 1,940 attack drones, more than 1,580 aerial bombs and 44 missiles of various types at Ukraine over the past week, 36 of them ballistic missiles.
