Melania Trump will hold a White House meeting with representatives of Russia and Ukraine

The announcement was made in a statement on the White House website.

“First Lady Melania Trump will personally bring together representatives of Russia and Ukraine, two nations at war, at the White House. This event marks an extraordinary moment in American history. Mrs. Trump independently initiated dialogue between the two warring nations and successfully secured a ceasefire in Oleshky and the surrounding Kherson region. This achievement marks an unprecedented diplomatic initiative by a U.S. first lady,” the statement says.

The U.S. president’s wife will comment on the ceasefire in Oleshky on November 5.

🔵Earlier, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump said that the humanitarian mission had “been successful: desperately needed aid was delivered to the region, and nearly 800 people were able to evacuate.”

🔵Russia and Ukraine, meanwhile, decided not to disclose the number of people evacuated from Oleshky.
