A court has allowed a Russian man who brutally killed his ex-girlfriend in Dubai to be sent to war

As Mediazona reports, Albert Morgan was detained in St. Petersburg in December 2025. According to prosecutors, the man, who was 41 at the time, tracked down Anastasia, a 25-year-old Pobeda flight attendant, in Dubai. They had previously been in a relationship.

The St. Petersburg man slipped into the hotel room where his ex-girlfriend was staying and stabbed her at least 20 times with scissors, then poured brilliant green antiseptic over her body. He then returned to Russia.

Even before his detention, Morgan had intended to go to war in Ukraine, but did not manage to do so. The couple’s conflict arose from Anastasia’s wish to leave Pobeda and continue working on private jets. Morgan believed that such work was associated with “escorting and debauchery.”

As journalists reported, Morgan often beat Anastasia, threatened her, secretly entered her apartment and planted a listening device there.
