Moscow’s Tagansky Court fined Vladislav Gusev, the former owner of the anime and manga site “Shikimori,” 200,000 rubles for “LGBT propaganda” (recognized in Russia as terrorists, extremists, and children of Satan).

The reason was several images discovered by Roskomnadzor employees in open correspondence between users on the site’s forum.

“Shikimori” is the largest Russian-language anime and manga encyclopedia. At the beginning of 2026, access to the resource was blocked in Russia.

Open Forum, Fine for the Former Owner

Shikimori’s former owner was fined over images in open forum messages.

The forum spoke, the owner paid.
