Moldova recalls its ambassador to Russia

Moldova is recalling its ambassador to Russia “for consultations” after a UAV fell and exploded near the village of Crocmaz in the Stefan Voda district on August 9.

This incident constitutes a gross violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and endangered the safety of our citizens. The Republic of Moldova condemns the Russian Federation’s aggressive war against Ukraine and its consequences for the security of our country and the entire region,

the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

No one was injured as a result of the drone crash.
