As the party’s press service reports, during the hearing the Supreme Court spent about 10 minutes examining a Kommersant photograph.

This is a picture of a tank in sunflowers, which illustrates a banner on the website’s homepage. Over the photo is the slogan “For peace and freedom! For a ceasefire agreement!”.

The Rodina party, which filed the lawsuit, claimed that the photographer’s name was not indicated when the photo was published, and therefore his copyright had been violated.

When court staff saved the image, enlarged it, and even examined it with a magnifying glass, it turned out that the photographer’s name was in fact on the photo. The courtroom reacted with applause.

Copyright infringement is one of Rodina’s claims against Yabloko. Rodina’s representatives are demanding that their rivals be removed from the State Duma elections.
