Wildberries sellers’ losses from Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks have reached 600–700 billion rubles — Forbes

That estimate was given to the publication by Margarita Evstigneeva, head of the Association of Suppliers of Goods for Trade on Electronic Platforms (APTEP).

According to her, more than 400,000 sellers were affected by the strikes on warehouses, and total losses amount to 600–700 billion rubles (including lost profits), while the cost basis of the goods was 200 to 300 billion rubles.

“Many people had up to 95% of all their goods burned up. At the same time, Wildberries considers itself the injured party; they paid small sellers an average of 2,000–30,000 rubles, which did not cover even 20% of their losses. Apparently, no further payments are planned for now. They say it is force majeure, circumstances beyond control, a terrorist attack,” she added.

At the beginning of August, Wildberries sellers’ losses after the warehouse attacks were estimated at 215–280 billion rubles, Forbes wrote.
