Fragments About LGBT Were Censored in the Russian Edition of Pope Francis’s Autobiography

Alpina Publisher has released Pope Francis’s autobiography, “Hope.” A photo of a spread in which several fragments of text are covered with bars was published by the Primus Versus bookstore, Echo noticed.

Theologian Natallia Vasilevich compared the Russian edition with the original. According to her, it concealed Francis’s reflections on blessing same-sex couples, the church’s acceptance of homosexual and transgender people, their right to baptism, as well as condemnation of criminal prosecution for homosexuality.

If the Lord says “everyone,” then who am I to exclude anyone?
