The speed with which the dismissal was carried out suggests that Klepach’s forecasts displeased Putin. “Today, it is impossible to say that things are better for Ukraine,” another well-informed acquaintance of the economist explained to TV Rain.

🔹Klepach was fired for the totality of things, one of Taratuta’s sources in banking circles, who knows the economist well, believes:

He is very loyal, but he is an economist, so from time to time he slipped up anyway and told the truth, said things as they were, not always sensing the political moment. And for that he got slapped down by the bank’s management more than once. He is, of course, a patriotic statist, but the problem is that from time to time he said something uncoordinated.

🔹But the main reason for the dismissal was still not that the forecasts became a public event, but that Klepach compared Ukraine and Russia and started talking about Ukraine beating Russia, and “to reason today that something is better in Ukraine is suicide,” one of her sources believes.
