Anatoly Blinov, accused of attempting to kill Leonid Volkov, renounced in court the testimony he gave during the investigation

A court hearing was held in Warsaw in the case of lawyer Anatoly Blinov, who is accused of organizing attacks on Russian opposition figures, including Leonid Volkov. In court, the testimony the lawyer gave during the investigation was read out, but Blinov renounced it, correspondents for the outlets Echo and Vot Tak report.

Earlier, Blinov had claimed, among other things, that the заказчиком of the attacks on Russian opposition figures was businessman Leonid Nevzlin. The interrogation record read out in court says that it was Nevzlin who instructed him to "deal with" Volkov and economist Maksim Mironov.

In court, Blinov said that he did not agree with the testimony he had given to investigators. According to him, he was interrogated in the morning, when he "couldn't make sense of anything," and his statements may have been translated inaccurately and taken out of context.

Blinov denied that he had given instructions to attack Volkov, Mironov, or Mironov's wife Aleksandra Petrachkova, and said that the conversations about possible attacks had been merely "hypothetical."

According to Blinov, he received money from Nevzlin, but not for attacks on opposition figures, rather to organize Action for Life, which helps Ukraine.
