First, Yabloko was illegally removed from the ballot, the only party that openly went into the election demanding an end to the war. Now they’re lawlessly removing Nikolai Bondarenko as well, one of the best-known CPRF candidates and a consistent critic of United Russia.

The reason is obvious: United Russia’s rating is falling, and any protest vote is becoming a threat to the authorities. That is exactly why it is important not to hand them this election without a fight.
