Starting September 1, social studies will be taught in schools only in grades 9-11, the Russian education minister said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

He noted that the newly prepared unified social studies textbooks will be "more tightly linked with history, literature, and geography."

Let us remind you that Dimon became the editor-in-chief of these textbooks, as the deputy head of Russia's Education Ministry said back in April.

Social Studies Reserved for Senior Grades

New textbooks tie the subject to history, literature, and geography.

An independent course was apparently too much.
