The girl who drew Smeshariki on the playground was forced to wash off the drawing.
Officials in Bolkhovo did get their way after all. As 14-year-old Ksenia’s mother said, city hall representatives threatened to punish the girl under two administrative charges at once, for vandalism and property damage. But if the playground is restored to its original appearance, that will be considered a mitigating circumstance.
“Honestly, I’m wildly upset that I’ll have to erase my work,” Ksenia said.
