The former vice governor of Kuban was found guilty of ‘financial violations’ during repairs of schools in the occupied territories

A court in Krasnodar sentenced Alexander Nesterenko to nine years in a penal colony on charges of “abuse of power entailing grave consequences.”

According to the court’s ruling, the former vice governor of Krasnodar Krai signed completion certificates for repair work at three schools in the occupied territories of Ukraine, in Kherson Oblast.

The court found that the work had not been completed, and the damage amounted to 146.7 million rubles.

The repairs were supposed to be carried out as part of Krasnodar Krai’s “patronage” over the restoration of social facilities in the Russian-occupied part of Kherson Oblast.
