A "truthful" textbook on the history of Ukraine is being written in Russia for Ukrainian schoolchildren

The Russian Military Historical Society is preparing to publish a textbook on the history of Ukraine in Russia, said the society’s scientific director, Mikhail Myagkov. His remarks were cited by Interfax.

“I will not reveal all the details, but it will cover history from ancient times,” he said.

According to him, it will be a “truthful textbook,” which will, among other things, discuss “the main points concerning the unity of the ancient Rus people; why it happened that such a term as ‘Ukrainism’ emerged; who is to blame for this, who launched it, and why some neo-Nazis today say that we are strangers.”

He clarified that the manual is intended for “schoolchildren in the territory that is still under the control of the Kyiv regime today” (quoted by Kommersant).
