United Russia deputy Nikolai Shulginov and his family own 850 million rubles’ worth of real estate — apartments in Moscow and Sochi, an estate outside Moscow, and housing in one of the capital’s most expensive residential complexes.
In the State Duma, Shulginov represents Khakassia, a region he had no connection to before the election. Before that, he served as energy minister, and earlier still headed RusHydro: in the five years he ran the state company, it sold more than 600 properties, and its contracts enriched, among others, structures linked to Putin’s friend Arkady Rotenberg.
