Alexander Ageyev spent 3 months in captivity, went through an exchange, ended up in the now legendary military unit near Moscow for “filtration” and... found himself in assault operations almost in the same place where he was first captured. There he met three more men with whom he had been exchanged. Only this time, only Alexander was lucky enough to survive.

The second time, Russia is in no hurry to take him back from captivity. Maybe because it is afraid that he will once again start telling everyone that Ukrainian captivity is absolutely not what Kremlin propaganda claims it is. Maybe because he is from the “LDNR,” and “real” Russians consider them second-class people who are supposed to wait years for an exchange.
