Sochi mayor congratulated the parents of a soldier killed in the war

At a meeting with the parents of 22-year-old Aik Roganyan, who was killed in the war, Sochi mayor Andrey Proshunin presented the family with the Order of Courage, which the serviceman was awarded posthumously.

At the end of the meeting, the city head said: “My heartfelt congratulations. Thank you very much for your son.”

After media attention, the recording was edited — the congratulatory phrase was cut out, leaving only the thanks to the parents.
