Actionist Pavel Krisevich’s wife was threatened by security forces during her detention; she herself was “blackmailed with her parents” and they “tormented her dog in front of her”
Lawyer Natalia Tikhonova told Mediazona this.
According to her, during the detention of Elena Morgunova, “under the pretext that she was obliged to cooperate operationally,” she was threatened, “blackmailed with her parents,” and they “tormented her dog in front of her, yanking aggressively on the leash and trying to throw it outside.”
Security forces also “made filthy jokes at Morgunova’s expense,” suggesting that she find a new husband “among their own.”
According to the lawyer, they were seeking to “break into the girl’s private chats on her phone.” Tikhonova is demanding an end to the unlawful actions against her client.
🔵Morgunova was arrested for 10 days on August 28 after she temporarily returned to Russia from France. According to Krisevich, she came in order to be near her elderly and sick parents.
“The only thing connecting her to political activity is the fact of our marriage. Lena does not take part in anything active and lives a quiet and peaceful life, as much as that is possible,” he wrote on Instagram.

Morgunova was threatened, pressed through her parents, and her dog was yanked for phone access.
