Sergey Molchanov is a 23-year-old orphan from Vladivostok who signed a contract with the Russian army to earn money and sort out his debts. He planned to serve at a military unit, but two weeks later he ended up at war, without proper training and with orders to go into an assault. After trying to run away home, Sergey finally saw what his life was really worth once he had signed the contract.

After being taken prisoner, Sergey did not see any “fascists” there: the Ukrainian military gave him food, water, and cigarettes, did not beat him, and treated him humanely. Now Sergey wants only one thing: to be free and tell everyone what is really happening to Russian soldiers, whom the state lures in with a contract and then sends off to die.
