Aircraft refueling at Sochi airport was restricted after a nighttime attack on a local oil depot

Airlines were restricted in refueling aircraft at Sochi airport after a Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on a local oil depot, Verstka noticed the relevant notice in the aeronautical information system.

“Refueling at Sochi airport is carried out only by the fuel operator LLC LUKOIL for technical reasons; airlines must confirm refueling arrangements with this operator,” the NOTAM notice says.

The restriction was introduced from today, 13:35 Moscow time, until tomorrow, 13:30 Moscow time. This notice replaced the previous one, which was also introduced today; it said that refueling was restricted overall for all fuel operators.

Also, according to a statement by Rosaviatsiya, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at Sochi airport to ensure flight safety.

🟦During the night leading into today, the Operational Headquarters of Krasnodar Krai reported that in Sochi and the federal territory of Sirius they were “repelling a massive UAV attack on civilian infrastructure.” In particular, it was noted that a fire broke out on the territory of the oil depot, and drone debris was found in different places.
