Axios: Witkoff and Kushner will travel to Moscow and Kyiv this weekend

U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel to Moscow and Kyiv this weekend for talks on ending the war, Axios writes citing U.S. officials.

This will be Witkoff and Kushner’s first visit to Kyiv since President Donald Trump began his second term in office.

🔵Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously announced their visit.

🔵TASS reported today that Witkoff and Kushner would first visit Moscow and then Kyiv on September 5–6.

🔵A Reuters source had said that Russia does not want Witkoff and Kushner to visit Kyiv and is therefore allegedly trying to force them to change their plans.

🔵Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin would “inform about the contacts” when they take place, but did not announce anything in advance.
