Putin backed the idea of drafting completely unfit volunteers to serve in regional units

Z war correspondent Poddubny asked for this during Putin’s meeting with United Russia’s “first five.”

According to Poddubny, wounded servicemen with health category “D” themselves ask to be placed in service. The war correspondent noted that they could carry out tasks in regional units destroying drones. As an example, he cited the country’s Combat Army Reserve detachments, known as BARS. Putin supported the initiative.

🔹Category “D” (completely unfit) is assigned to people with severe pathologies and significant impairments of bodily functions: this includes many mental illnesses, nervous system disorders, HIV, cancer, tuberculosis, as well as missing limbs.
