Moscow's Presnensky District Court chose a preventive measure for them in absentia in the form of detention for a period of two months, the press service of Moscow courts of general jurisdiction reported.

It had earlier been reported that a criminal case was opened against them: they were accused of organizing the activities of an “undesirable organization.”

Law enforcement agencies said that the reporting document listed the activities carried out by TV Rain: “Independent and objective coverage of all major events in Russia, including broadcasting daily news in Russia, producing and broadcasting original programs, and distributing news about Russia, including through channels, cable broadcasting, streaming internet broadcasting, mobile applications, and Smart TV.”
