Yabloko reported threats against its candidates for the Kaliningrad Regional Legislative Assembly

The Yabloko party in the Kaliningrad region received messages threatening two candidates for the region’s Legislative Assembly — Roman Morozov and Dmitry Mamayev. This was reported by Yabloko’s press service.

“If you are for lives, then speak up for the lives of your own people. Withdraw R and D. Why have pointless victims? A Well-Wisher,” the press service quotes the message from an unknown person as saying.

Yabloko said it “regards the message as a threat to the candidates’ lives and an attempt to force the party to remove them from the election.”

The party said that, across the country as a whole, four Yabloko candidates in single-mandate districts have already withdrawn from elections because of pressure and threats.
