Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is one of the leaders of the United Russia list in the State Duma elections. We found United Arab Emirates passports in his family.

Lavrov’s beloved Svetlana Polyakova received UAE citizenship “for services to the state.” Her daughter, Lavrov’s stepdaughter Polina Kovaleva, became a UAE citizen even earlier — in December 2022.

Before that, Kovaleva lived in the United Kingdom for many years, where FBK found luxury property worth 4.4 million pounds belonging to her. After the full-scale war began and sanctions were introduced, she left Britain, got a job at Qatar Investment in Doha, and received a new passport.
