KhMAO authorities decided to equate a drone strike with an “extreme life situation.” The region has not yet been attacked by UAVs

The government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) has decided to add drone strikes to the list of causes of “extreme life situations,” according to draft amendments published by KhMAO’s social development department, which Verstka noticed.

According to the document, Yugra authorities plan to add the phrase “sudden collapse of structures, including with the use of unmanned aerial systems” to the list of “extreme life situations.” The term describes a situation in which residents “are in urgent need of one-time emergency assistance” and cannot cope with their situation even if they “use all available opportunities and means.”

Alongside UAV attacks, Yugra officials include fires, natural disasters, “technogenic explosions,” and the loss of means of subsistence among such cases.

Thus, KhMAO residents hit by a UAV strike will be able to count on receiving hot meals from the authorities, food packages once a month, as well as clothing, shoes, and other assistance.

🟪Cities and enterprises in KhMAO have not yet been subjected to direct UAV attacks. Nevertheless, a missile danger regime was introduced in the district back on May 5, and since late June the authorities in Yugra have repeatedly announced a drone threat. KhMAO accounts for about 40% of Russia’s oil production. The nearest major enterprise attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the Tyumen oil refinery, located about 200 km from the district’s border. It was hit by a UAV strike on July 25.
