A court has removed the third Yabloko candidate for the State Duma from the election in one day

The Moscow Regional Court canceled the registration of Yuri Vaskin, Yabloko’s press service reports. His rival, Dmitry Shatalov, a candidate from the Party of Pensioners, filed the lawsuit against him.

The grounds for removal were QR codes in Vaskin’s campaign leaflet. They led to the Telegram channel and VKontakte page of Yabloko’s Odintsovo branch, where, as the party notes, reposts of materials from Yabloko’s official resources were published.

Shatalov referred to the Supreme Court’s decision to remove Yabloko’s federal list, in which some party publications were recognized as violating copyright. The court granted the claim.

In Samara Region, a court removed Yuri Stafyev, a candidate from Communists of Russia, from the election because of foreign shares; in Pskov Region, it removed communist Alexander Kutelev because he held securities from the United States.

Earlier today, the Chelyabinsk Regional Court canceled the registration of Yaroslav Shcherbakov, chair of Yabloko’s Chelyabinsk branch, and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court removed Yabloko candidate Dmitry Smirnov.

🔵Courts removed three more Yabloko candidates from the election on August 31: Alexey Akimenko in Bashkortostan, Ayrat Gumerbayev in Tatarstan, and Anton Paramonov in Tula Region.
