🎨🎨🎨Lindsey Graham’s bill on sanctions against Russia is planned to be put to a vote next week, according to my source at the American Coalition for Ukraine.

Apparently, the House Rules Committee will approve the bill, which will allow Speaker Johnson to bring it to a vote by a simple majority.

The Rules Committee will meet for discussion on Monday at 16:00 Washington time (23:00 Moscow and Kyiv time), and the vote inside the committee is expected to take place on Tuesday. As a reminder, it has 13 members (9 Republicans and 4 Democrats), and 7 votes in favor are enough.

After that, on Wednesday or Thursday, Speaker Mike Johnson will be able to put the bill up for a vote under the standard procedure, which requires only a simple majority (50% + 1 vote).

Presumably, there are enough votes in the House from both parties to pass the bill by a simple majority.

As for the Rules Committee, where Republicans had previously been opposed, the bill started moving after it received support from the White House this week.
