The “Anti-War Committee” has launched a site with dossiers on State Duma candidates, showing their stance on the war
“The Anti-War Committee of Russia” does not call on people to take part in the elections and does not support specific candidates. But for those who have nevertheless decided to vote, we offer our “Dossier on Voting Objects,”
the project’s website says.
The site presents dossiers on State Duma candidates across Russia using three criteria: their attitude toward the war, the activity of their election campaign, and their chances of victory. To assess them, the project’s authors analyzed candidates’ statements on Telegram and VK, as well as their “actions and publications about election campaigns.”
In addition, the site has a section about the parties themselves, presenting a “radicalism index” and the “share of war in publications.” The calculations for these criteria, it is claimed, were made based on 10,500 posts in the parties’ official Telegram channels from January 1 to September 7.
