▪️About 50 people attended the wedding, including Jared Kushner (he can be seen in the group photo on the right in the bottom row). Trump Sr. was not at the wedding; he skipped the event, citing "not the most suitable time for it."

▪️Umar Kremlev also attended the event. The presence of Russian "guests" was supposed to remain secret. But one of Trump Jr.’s wife’s friends exposed Kremlev on Instagram. The upper part of Kremlev’s face is visible in the group photo.

▪️According to ProPublica, it was Kremlev himself who paid for the wedding. Investigators saw payment data, and three sources familiar with the event also told them about it.

▪️As is known, Kremlev is the head of the International Boxing Association (IBA). After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, because of the threat of sanctions, Kremlev was forced to move the IBA’s operations from Switzerland to the UAE. The payment for the wedding was made through the IBA’s Dubai structure.

(The IBA’s main source of funding for a long time was Gazprom.)

▪️Notably, Trump Jr.’s official spokesperson did not deny the payments from Kremlev: "Umar is a personal friend of Don."

▪️Trump Jr.’s spokesperson said they met through a mutual acquaintance connected to hunting and are united by a love of boxing.

▪️Trump Jr. had already previously met publicly with Umar Kremlev. In September 2025, the IBA invited Trump Jr. to a panel discussion on boxing in Istanbul. There, Trump Jr. and Kremlev shook hands (photo 3).

▪️It is not entirely clear why it was Kremlev specifically who paid for the wedding. Trump Jr.’s fortune is estimated at $300 million; he could easily have paid himself.

▪️Kremlev was not the only Russian at the wedding. Among the guests was businessman Alexander Lagutin, who plays an important role in Russian defense contracts, as well as Elena Sobol, Kremlev’s right hand at the IBA.
