In Moscow, almost 4 million rubles are being sought for “military chess” for schoolchildren.

An application has been submitted to the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives to hold a “military chess” championship for schoolchildren. The requested grant amounts to 3.99 million rubles, with another 1.5 million rubles listed as co-financing. The total cost of the project is 5.5 million rubles. With this money, they want to produce 500 game sets, hold qualifying tournaments in at least 100 schools, and bring together no fewer than 50 school teams and 200 participants for the final, the Telegram channel “Ostorozhno, Moskva” noted.

The application says the game uses experience from the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. A separate role is assigned to drones: the author believes that “military chess” can introduce schoolchildren to the basics of modern combat tactics and explain the importance of unmanned aerial vehicles.
