“Taking part in the elections is our shared contribution to Russia’s victory.” Putin urged Russians to “exercise their constitutional right”
Vladimir Putin delivered his previously announced address on the upcoming parliamentary elections. It lasted just over three minutes.
Putin noted that this time, for the first time, residents of the so-called “new” territories will vote for candidates for the State Duma.
According to Putin, the winners of the elections will be “the most worthy, true patriots of Russia.”
“I ask you to be sure to exercise your constitutional right and make a considered, responsible decision. This will be our common response to those who want to weaken Russia, hold back its development, deprive us of sovereignty and of the right to determine our own fate,” Putin said.
