Kommersant reports that on September 17, Moscow’s Meshchansky Court arrested Nikolai Nikiforov in absentia for two months.

The detention period for the former Russian minister of communications and mass media will begin from the moment he is detained on Russian territory or extradited to the country.

Nikiforov is accused of organizing a criminal community and especially large-scale fraud.
