Ozon Sellers Complained About Low Insurance Payments for Destroyed Goods
Ozon sellers complained about low insurance payments for destroyed goods. Some said they received only a few hundred rubles
Ozon sellers have reported low insurance compensation payments from Ingosstrakh, a company cooperating with the marketplace, for goods destroyed as a result of drone attacks, “Vyorstka” noticed.
Entrepreneurs whose goods were damaged at Ozon warehouses posted complaints in specialized chats. One seller said Ingosstrakh compensated only 10% of the insured amount.
“What kind of joke is this, the payment came in at less than 1% of what burned. You can’t even call it a part,” another entrepreneur writes.
Some users also named the exact sums they received from the insurance company. Many noted that Ingosstrakh transferred only a few hundred rubles to them. For example, one entrepreneur received 550 rubles for goods lost at the Samara warehouse.
Two more sellers shared that they received payments of 250 rubles and an amount under one thousand. An entrepreneur who sells signs with lettering reported a transfer of 71.5 rubles.
“160 rubles came in, are you kidding me? For Dagestan and Samara, 160 rubles each. There were goods worth more than 280,000 at each warehouse,” another seller writes.
🟦The day before, Ozon announced that Ingosstrakh had made the first compensation payments for lost or damaged goods at facilities in Samara Region, Dagestan, and Adygea. The release said payments should arrive in several installments, with a separate transfer planned for damage at each warehouse. At the same time, the final calculation is planned only after inventory is completed and accurate damage data is passed to the insurer.
