OVD-Info has opened a hotline for any questions related to elections in Russia
From September 18 to 20, during the elections in Russia, OVD-Info’s hotline will operate around the clock.
Through the bot @ovdinfobot, people can ask questions related both to coercion to vote, pressure on observers and members of election commissions, and pressure connected with the elections (including the handing out of summonses at polling stations and warnings to activists).
On Friday, September 18, from 10:00 to 22:00, an invited expert, an electoral lawyer, will answer questions in the bot.
“We fear that against the backdrop of voting, cases of pressure from security forces may become more frequent, so we are staying in touch for urgent consultations,” the human rights defenders emphasized.
OVD-Info reminds readers that publicly sharing the project’s posts may be unsafe because the Russian authorities have declared it an extremist organization. However, it can still be read.
