A Yabloko candidate was fined over a post with the film “Don’t Call Him Dimon”
Vladislav Arkadyev, head of Yabloko’s Chuvashia branch, was fined one thousand rubles for “extremist symbols.”
The reason was a 2017 post on Odnoklassniki linking to the FBK investigation “Don’t Call Him Dimon.” The Russian authorities designated FBK itself an “extremist organization” only in 2021.
Several days ago, Arkadyev had already been removed from the election. At the same time, the article under which he was fined bars him from running for office.
