The campaign team of Greens candidate Yulia Kuznetsova said she is being held in an unknown location and will probably not be released until Sunday
Updated (21:20): A video appeared on Kuznetsova’s Telegram channel in which she says that she and her husband are “all right,” and that yesterday she had a “rather difficult conversation,” after which her husband had to provide her with psychological and medical assistance. Kuznetsova did not explain who the conversation was with or where she is now, promising to return home soon.
Missing State Duma candidate from the Greens Yulia Kuznetsova, together with her husband, is being held in an unknown room and, presumably, will not be released until Sunday, Kuznetsova’s campaign team told Verstka.
“Today during the day, someone from the Yuzhnoye Medvedkovo police department called and asked the person who filed the missing-person report for Kuznetsova to come in. They showed a photo in which she is with her husband and said that they have not been detained and that no case has been opened against them, and also that no one is holding them, but they will not get in touch,” a campaign representative said.
He added that in the photo Yulia and Vadim are in some room, but because of the image quality it is hard even to determine whether they are sitting or standing, while Kuznetsova herself “looks confused.”
According to Verstka’s source, the police hinted that the woman and her husband would not be released until voting ends, that is, until Sunday.
“Yulia [last] called her mother on September 17 at around 10 p.m. and said that she would leave for three days because she had problems. Campaign staff believe this was said under pressure. The call to her mother was the last one; since then there has been no contact with her or her husband,” Verstka’s source said.
As Mediazona reported, citing an associate of Kuznetsova, the police also suggested stopping the search for her, referring to the printed photograph.
💜Kuznetsova disappeared after a meeting with voters on September 17, attended by about a hundred people. After that, observers representing the candidate began to be removed from Moscow PECs, allegedly on the basis of her statement.
