The Kremlin has learned its voter by heart. It knows what can gladden the Russian heart and lure it to the ballot boxes.

Of course, the best advertisement for “stability and greatness” is those very “tears of a child” that Russian literature made such a noise about.

They make the voter’s hand grow firm, and the eyes light up with pride in the fatherland.

These “tears” boost turnout even better than television.

However, not everything always goes according to plan. Despite the power of orders, the extensive educational work, and all the efforts of the bombers, tonight the Russians managed to kill only three children and their mother. (in Hlevakha, Kyiv region).

That is clearly not enough for a surge of national ecstasy. Russia has long grown used to such “victories.” They no longer trigger a fit of pride in the country.

There is not, in three dead little children and their mother, the grandeur that the Russian voter expected from the “invincible and legendary” army.

Now if it had been 200, with a couple of apartment blocks in Kyiv brought down at the root, then yes. Then a gallop to the polling stations and showers of ballots for United Russia would have been guaranteed.

The “Russian world” is a grave disease. No cure has yet been found.

The war has explained it: Russians really do consider themselves a master race, before whose whims other peoples must bow and curtsy.

This is a national ideology that has fatally infected at least 85% of the population.

Dead Children as Campaign Material

Three children and their mother were killed in Hlevakha.

Even that is too small for pride now.
