In Chelyabinsk, police detained 19-year-old Yabloko party member Vladimir Yuzhakov, who wrote “Make love not war” and “Миру — мир!” on the pavement near several polling stations.

This was reported by 7x7, citing the activist’s wife, Yulia Yuzhakova.

Yuzhakov was detained yesterday at around 16:30 as he was leaving his home. At the police station, he was made to give an explanation and his phone was seized; it was returned the next day. No reports were drawn up against the activist.

According to Yulia Yuzhakova, police pressured her husband to cooperate and threatened him with deportation — Yuzhakov was born in Kazakhstan, but he has Russian citizenship.
