Ramzan Kadyrov won 99.85% of the vote in the election for head of Chechnya after 100% of protocols were processed, according to data from Russia’s Central Election Commission. For Kadyrov, this was the third election during his time as head of the republic (he has led Chechnya since 2007). In 2021, he received 99.7% of the vote in the election, and in 2016, 97.94%. The only person to receive more than Kadyrov in elections for heads of regions and republics was Ruslan Aushev, who won the 1993 presidential election in Ingushetia with 99.9% of the vote (he was the only candidate).
