Daniil from Orenburg region signed a contract with the Russian army when he had barely turned 18(!). The young man badly needed money for surgery for his 6-year-old brother.

Like all young Russians, he was promised that he would not end up as an assault trooper. It seemed simple: get the long-awaited money and serve in relative safety. But that is not how it works in the Russian army. Right after training, the kid was assigned to an assault company.

While still at the training ground, Daniil began planning his escape from the war. He received the money to help his brother and parents, and the atmosphere reigning in the Russian army did not exactly motivate him to keep risking his life. No joke: the recruits were told straight away, “you will all die.” In that respect, though, the young man got lucky: in his unit he was entrusted with drone work, and he mostly watched others die:

“You just get used to these deaths. In the morning you were talking to someone, and by lunchtime he is gone”

Daniil decided to hold out until his first leave and then never return to the “special military operation.” That is exactly what he did. He then left for Armenia and now plans to move to France. In other words, he cheated the system: took money from the “Motherland” and “jumped ship.” Other Russians can follow his example. We only advise you not to play “Ukrainian roulette” by waiting for a chance to escape while risking your life, but to contact our project instead.
