Trump promised to use Lindsey Graham’s law on tough sanctions against Russia “if necessary”

The US president said this at the UN General Assembly.

“Last week, in honor of Senator Lindsey Graham, I signed a new, very important law passed by Congress that gives me enormous powers in the area of imposing tariffs. And, if necessary, I will be forced to use them,” Donald Trump said.

He also expressed hope that Ukraine and Russia would be able to reach an agreement to end the war in the near future.

“We are working very closely with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, and we will definitely come to a resolution of this issue. I think it will happen sooner than many people think. They are already tired of this. I look at photos from the battlefield, and the picture is terrible. Twenty-five thousand people are dying every month — it is horrible,” Trump noted.
