Job approval (approve/disapprove): -20.9% (the record was the day before yesterday at -21.1%; in August it was holding at -19%).

Average Congressional ballot\: Democrats +8.7% (in August-September they were at 6-7%; now they have started moving upward).

\Americans’ intention to vote for one party or another, without tying it to specific states or districts.

Comparative context is always important for understanding these numbers: Biden was not exactly loved either, but he never had numbers even close to this in the middle of his term. He only started slipping near the very end, when it became impossible to hide his age-related problems, and even then not by this much.

Biden’s figures on September 25, 2022 (I’m giving the exact same day, Real Clear Politics):

Favorability: -8.1% (Trump is at -18.1%).

Approval: -10.7% (Trump is at -20.9%).

Congress: Dems +0.3% (Dems are now at +8.7%)

Trump and the Republicans are almost everywhere 10% lower.
