The meeting between Sergey Lavrov and Johann Wadephul is taking place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, the German side initiated it.


The previous time Lavrov met with the head of Germany’s foreign ministry was on January 18, 2022.
