Russia struck Kyiv; one person is known to have been killed. A mobile operator’s data center and a logistics company’s warehouse in the region were attacked

Russian forces carried out another drone strike on Kyiv and the region overnight on September 27.

According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, in the Solomianskyi district, a one-story car service station building caught fire after being hit by a drone.

At another address, a drone hit a non-residential building, but during efforts to extinguish the fire there, the body of a man was found.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said that the overnight strikes in Kyiv hit a Vodafone mobile operator data center, which it claimed “provides mobile communications and high-speed internet services for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including for transmitting intelligence data.”

In addition, a warehouse belonging to the logistics company Zammler Group was hit in Kyiv region, the Defense Ministry said. The ministry claims that Western military aid was stored and distributed there. The company itself said the strike hit one of the warehouses where Zammler had worked for many years. There were no casualties as a result of the strike, it added.
